A wise man once said; “You don’t choose your passion, your passion chooses you”. For Gary Girouard that passion has always been the piano. Over the past 10 years, he has released five “Naked Piano” albums – and has won two “Album of the Year” awards in the contemporary piano genre.
Girouard’s style combines equal parts classical, new age and pop into what the editor of Boston Live hails as “a masterpiece…a testament to the gracious sounds of a fluid live recording”. Girouard’s music has been described as “hauntingly beautiful”, “deeply moving” and “incredibly powerful”.
The Naked Piano series evolved from the sentiment to capture timeless themes and allow people an escape from an otherwise hectic lifestyle.
